Heritage Living Center

Take a Tour of the Construction Phase

The Heritage Living Center provides a safe and independent facility for Cheyenne elders, close to their family and friends. It also offers jobs to tribal members.

The photographs below show the architect's model and building construction phase. See also our Dedication Day photos and photos of the finished Center. You can also view the rooms of the Center.

This is Michael Burke's [architect] model of the Heritage Living Center. Elders of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe will live here in safety, well fed and cared for according to each one's needs. Your gifts and generous support are helping to make this miracle happen.

The gas tank reduces our heating costs by 71%, and just as important, there will be sufficient propane to keep the elders warm when heavy snow and icy roads delay shipments of fuel from the refinery.

Moving day!

The Ashland community volunteered to help move furniture into the Heritage Living Center. Even the very young wanted to help. The picnic-like atmosphere made it a community celebration, which ended with a lunch of bologna sandwiches, chips and soda.
