Dedication Day

The photographs below were taken during the Dedication Day ceremonies and festivities on August 31, 2002. You can also take a tour of our Center, view the rooms and Native American art of the Center and see the construction phase photos.

The chiefs gather to drum and sing during the raising of the American flag. In the foreground is C.J. Little Coyote, the youngest Chief in the history of the Northern Cheyenne nation, aged 15.

Mary came to Montana in 1956 to work among the Northern Cheyenne as a volunteer. Mary died in 1975 from leukemia.

These three men have worked together as a team since 1965 to bring better education and industry to the Northern Cheyenne Nation.
